As much as I love our New Jersey State Parks I also love our National Parks, especially National Parks in New Jersey. We’ve made some wonderful memories at the Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park, Ellis Island, and Morristown National Historical Park. While Melanie and her kids have enjoyed Gateway National Recreation Area, AKA Sandy Hook.
We’ve even traveled outside of New Jersey to visit National Parks such as the National Mall in Washington DC, the Fredericksburg Battlefield in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the Boston National Historical Park in Boston, and the Statue of Liberty in the harbor between New York and New Jersey.

We’ve had some memorable experiences at every National Park we’ve visited. When time allows my boys have even earned Junior Ranger Badges. The books and the badges make great souvenirs, but over time I can’t help but want more National Parks merchandise to remember those experiences.

What I’ve found is that sometimes National Park gift shops don’t carry the kind of souvenirs I’m looking for, or the gift shop was hard to find, or I just hadn’t thought about it at the time. And I admit sometimes buying National Parks gifts in the gift shops isn’t convenient. Lines can be long. Kids can be tired and hungry. It’s not always an ideal situation.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one who felt this way. We’ve put together a gift guide of National Parks merchandise. Whether you want to find National Parks gifts for yourself or someone you know who loves the National Parks we hope you’ll start with our list.
