This year, Ort Farms has dedicated their corn maze to the rebuilding efforts after the storm that changed NJ forever, Hurricane Sandy.

Adults and children will enjoy finding their way through various paths that, when seen from an aerial view, say, “Stronger Than the Storm.” A portion of the proceeds from the maze will benefit a charity for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Farmers have a great understanding of how weather can significantly impact people’s lives. The farm family at Ort Farms found it important to express their empathy for those who have been impacted by this storm, and they are happy to give back and help the rebuilding efforts.

Another great event available this October at Ort Farms is their night maze and hayride.

Every Saturday night from 6-10pm, adults and children can bring their flashlights and enjoy these 2 great non-scary, family friendly events. I highly recommend choosing the nighttime package for $7.95 that includes the hayride, corn maze, a donut and hot apple cider. What night is complete without a yummy fall farm treat? If you prefer to pay separately, the hayride is $1 and the corn maze is $5.

Children of all ages LOVE Ort Farms!

Children of all ages LOVE Ort Farms!

There are so many reasons to love Ort Farms. It is a four season farm with family friendly programs and amazing produce and homemade baked goods to enjoy. We love Ort Farms for it’s beautiful setting and open space. Even though it is visited by hundreds of people, it never feels overcrowded or cramped. Families are able to spread out and enjoy the day! This is a unique feature not available at most farms in New Jersey. Ort Farms also has a great variety of pumpkins to choose from that can put a smile on any child’s face. I highly recommend getting the family together (call up those grandparents too), hop in the car and drive over to Ort Farms for an amazing fall day!
