Pi Day

Einstein was born on March 14 — 3.14 — the numeric equivalent of Pi! Every year, the town of Princeton celebrates with an irrational number of events, including an Einstein Look-a-Like & Pi Recitation contest and pie sampling experience!

Princeton is honored to host the world to celebrate the most beloved Princeton genius!

    • 9:00 a.m. Pie Eating Contest – McCaffrey’s at Princeton Shopping Center (up to 40 folks so arrive early!)
    • 11:00 a.m. Einstein Look-A-Like Contest – Princeton Public Library – community room
    • 11:00 a.m. Pi Day & Einstein Birthday Picnic Party with self guided tour map (thru 9:00 p.m.)
    • 12:00 p.m. Pi Recitation Contest – Princeton Public Library (Pi-Rade immediately follows) – PPL
    • 1:00 p.m. Princeton School Gardens Cooperative Fundraiser – the bent spoon & LilliPies (all weekend)
    • 1:30 p.m. Einstein Story Time with the Historical Society of Princeton – Princeton Public Library – story room
    • 2:00 p.m. Dinky Train Rides with Albert Einstein (meet at Wawa Station – Bill Agress is famous re-enactor)
    • 3:00 p.m. Pi Day Matinee: 30th Anniversary Screening of the classic “I.Q.” – Princeton Public Library
    • 3:30 p.m. “That Physics Show” with Dave Maiullo of Rutgers University – Princeton Public Library
  • March 14, 2024 – Pi DAY!
    • 11:00 a.m. Pi Day & Einstein Birthday Picnic Party (thru 9:00 p.m.)
    • 1:00 p.m. PSGC Fundraiser – the bent spoon & LiLLiPies paired treats (thru 5:00p.m.)
    • 3:00 p.m. Screening the classic film “Balls of Fire” – Princeton Public Library
    • 3:14 p.m. One Hour Guided Walking Tour of Albert Einstein’s famous homes and hangouts!
    • 5:30 p.m. Albert Einstein Memorial Lecture – Location Coming!
    • 7:00 p.m. The Do Not Miss 2024 Pi Day Princeton Worldwide Event by authors Gary Berger and Michael DiRuggiero
