Where to Eat in Sesame Place

Cafeteria style dining

Last week we told you about our most recent visit to Sesame Place. Today, for What’s Cooking Wednesday we wanted to tell you about the Sesame Place restaurants. Sesame Place has a large list of restaurants to pick from that offer a range of fresh and healthy alternatives.  The menus include a variety of fare for you to munch with your family.

Some typical menu items in Sesame Place include:

  • hand-carved meat sandwiches (like turkey)
  • grilled chicken Caesar wrap
  • salads
  • hot dogs
  • kids meals (macaroni and cheese, whole grain pizza, chicken fingers)
  • salads

The following restaurants offer great dining options at Sesame Place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

  • Big Bird’s Riverside Pavillion
  • Cookie’s Cafe
  • Elmo’s Eatery
  • Captain Ernie’s Bistro

Sesame Place also has a picnic area located just outside of their Preferred Parking lot.  You can leave the park and get a hand stamp if you wish to picnic.  Coolers or picnic lunches are not allowed inside of the park.

Finally, there is the crowned jewel of Sesame Place…Dine with Me!  My children always remember having dined with Elmo, Big Bird and all the characters of Sesame Street!  And Mom and Dad are thrilled there are few if any lines!  The Sesame Place Character meals are offered buffet style in a private dining room.  You will need to make advance reservations to dine here.  Enjoy the games, fun and visits from your favorite characters!  This is by far an experience that your children will never forget!  You also have the chance to take a picture with Elmo.  Get up close and personal as this experience is one of the best to have in the whole park!
