3 Reasons my Family Loves Veterans Memorial Park
- The beautiful pond allows for some picnicking or some casual fishing. Didn’t bring lunch? The Boathouse Cafe is open for business and can help with the menu! As you congregate along the lake watch the ducks and geese.
- There’s a playground – though sadly it was off limits when we visited due to construction. There are some activities on the fitness trail, and the paved paths make biking and walking safe and comfortable.
- We enjoyed looking at all the memorial statues and plaques in the park. From named trees, to personal plaques, to the large Hungarian memorial, there’s always something to wander over to and read. The park feels like it is very proud of and respectful of its community.
