Redbox has been the new family treat. My children and I go grocery shopping and if they are good they get to choose a movie. This week they picked Tooth Fairy 2, we have Tooth Fairy the first movie at home, so we decided to give this a shot.
About Tooth Fairy 2
When dreamer Larry Guthrie (Larry the Cable Guy) loses his first love to the town hot shot, he decides to win her back by volunteering to help the local children at her after school program. But when Larry accidentally tells the kids that the tooth fairy is make believe, he is soon transformed into a tutu clad fairy with a sentence of collecting teeth.
This was a perfect movie to watch to create excitement during the tooth loosing years. Now with all the fancy technology out today it seems like children stop believing, but I think children need to have and believe in magic for a little while longer. I really liked how in this sequel they incorporate technology and electronics into it to give a more modern feel. I also liked the fact that while they are laughing at some things I was laughing at other things they didn’t even catch on to. After watching the movie my almost 4-year-old and 6-year-old were caught wiggling their teeth silly. As an added bonus I used this movie to talk about good dental hygiene for kids because the tooth fairy doesn’t want any rotten teeth now does (s)he?
