Smugglers Notch Resort Accommodations – North Hill Community Condominiums for Families

Posted on: January 30th, 2018 by

In full disclosure, we were provided with rentals, accommodations, and activities at the Smugglers Notch Resort in Jeffersonville, Vermont to aid us in creating family travel stories to help you plan your family vacation to the Smugglers Notch Resort, a family-friendly Vermont resort.

Have you stayed in the Smugglers Notch Resort accommodations?

Are you planning a Vermont family vacation and trying to determine if you should stay at a resort like the Smugglers Notch Resort or if you should stay off property and just drive to Smugglers every day? There’s definitely something to be said for staying on property. Smugglers Notch Resort is the #1 family resort in the Northeast and one of the best ways to experience what Smuggler’s Resort offers families is by taking advantage of Smugglers Notch Resort accommodations. You’ll be close to all the family activities and once you’ve parked your car at Smuggler’s you won’t have to move it again, until it’s time to go. It’s why the Smugglers Notch Resort is next in our family travel series.

Our drive up to Vermont, took a bit more time than we had planned. We didn’t leave as early as we wanted to. We encountered traffic. And we got stuck in an rainy, icy storm. When we finally arrived at Smugglers Notch it was dark and near 8 pm at night. We just wanted to find our room, eat, and relax.

Vermont rest stop

A Vermont rest stop we stopped to check out on our way to Smuggler’s Notch.

Thank goodness checking in was made easy with a courteous and helpful team at the front desk.

As we drove towards our Smugglers Resort condo our mood started to lift. We had been assigned a condo in the Eagles building of the North Hill Community, part of the newer Smugglers Notch Resort accommodations. Coming up to the New England area after the Philadelphia Eagles win, it gave us all a chuckle to have lodging in the ‘Eagles’ building. Was it fate? Was it a sign of things to come? We shall see. ;-)

When we entered our Eagles condo, we had no idea it had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We worked our way around the condo, taking note of the Eagles decor, and exploring every nook and cranny. The kitchen space was incredible. It was as if the resort team had thought of everything. There’s a crockpot (no need to bring one from home.) There are lids to go with the glassware, just in case you have leftovers. The toaster is big enough for your favorite bagel. There’s a pizza cutter in the drawer for those nights you’re too tired to cook. It doesn’t stop there, the TV in the living room has a DVD player, so bring along those favorite DVDs or rent some from the gift shop. The bedroom closets, they have blankets in case you get chilly and fans in case you get too hot.

Our Smugglers Notch Resort accommodations were so spacious, we immediately thought we should have invited others to join us. And that drive up from New Jersey, didn’t seem so bad after all. It was definitely worth it. After all, we had one bedroom with 4 beds! Another bedroom, the teenager claimed. There was a master bedroom for the adults and still a queen size pull out bed in the living room. When you are traveling with 3 or more children: a big kid, a tween, and a tall teenager, a standard hotel room just won’t do. Smugglers understands that and is ready for that. Smugglers Notch accommodations offer everything from studios that sleep up to 4 people to 5 bedroom condos that can sleep 10-12. Or course, Smugglers Resort does offer lots of activities both during the daytime and evening so we can’t promise that you’ll get a lot of rest.
