For those of us in Northern New Jersey, The Mall at Short Hills has provided some memorable (and popular) Santa experiences in the past few years and this year is even better. Introducing Santa’s Flight Academy, The Mall at Short Hills Santa photo experience!

Santa’s elves Sparkle, Flash and George need your help to get ready. Santa has a big night ahead of him and a lot of prepping to do, so every child has to do their part as a crew member! As your elf guide takes you through you’ll have these tasks to complete:
- Register your name and smile for the camera for your official flight crew badge (this goes home with you!)
- Scan your badge then check your foot size, hand size and height for your flight suit, then “put” it on!
- Help Santa fill his sleigh, map out a route and check the weather.
- Power up the sleigh with making NOISE! Your kids are going to love that one!
- Scan in again and congratulations! You’re Santa’s hero for helping. Time to dance in the snow while you wait. Almost there!
- Scan your badge and Santa will welcome you by name! Have that list ready – he’s also got something for you to show your dedication to being a crew member.
Of course, professional photos are available (it is requested that you not use your personal camera) with a variety of packages, and some attractive frames and extras. A digital download package can also be purchased and a link is sent by text within a half hour of your visit.
Another bonus; check your email a few hours later for a short video of your children “wearing” their flight suit!

- As always, Santa could have a long line. Go early and soon!
- Want to speed up your visit? Register online so Santa will be expecting you!
- The Mall at Short Hills is at 1200 Morris Turnpike in Short Hills, Essex County.
- Santa is available all mall hours with a break in the afternoon and evening until December 24th.
