my family to enjoy. We appreciate their support of Jersey Family Fun that allows us to share with families what Middlesex County restaurants we think their family may enjoy.

Quaker Steak & Lube Restaurant comes to Central New Jersey!

Maybe you’ve been to one in Brick or one of the other 60 locations across the US and Canada?  Now you can visit a Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant right in Middlesex County!

Located at 561 US Route 1 and Plainfield Avenue in Edison, Quaker Steak & Lube offers plentiful indoor seating along with a heated outdoor patio for year round casual dining. You don’t have to look far for a television to watch your favorite sporting event; Quaker Steak & Lube has 50!

The first Quaker Steak & Lube was built in an abandoned gas station in Pennsylvania, and all locations have gas station and automobile themed decor. The Edison Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant location is no exception! Three Harley Davidson motorcycles are on display. Make sure you look up and around to see plenty of automobile themed signage, and even a dirtbike crashing through a window. Check out the door handles as you enter!

So what does Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant serve?

The night we visited Quaker Steak & Lube was a special preview night, prior to the restaurant’s grand opening on April 30th. We were greeted with live music on the outside patio, a lineup of classic and show cars, and some remote control racing in the parking lot! Coop, the Quaker Steak & Lube mascot was on hand to greet everyone and inside there was a DJ and endless food!

We first found the table for the atomic and triple atomic wings. Have you ever heard of the Scoville Heat Unit?  These wings are at the top!  The server hands you a waiver to fill out before serving them to you!  I tried the atomic and one bite was enough – off to find a drink! Luckily there were a few flavors of Lube N Ade to be tried, along with bottles of water and root beer.

So of course Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant has plenty of flavors of wings! Our favorite was the Thaisian boneless wing, but it was a hard choice!  We didn’t have burgers or steaks to try but there were ribs and they fell off the bone – so so tasty! Sides and appetizers were all around too, I won’t say how many of the breaded and fried Pick Up Pickles we ate but they were worth it! Served with either a jalapeno ranch or regular ranch, make your choice based on how much is left in your drink because the jalapeno ranch was spicy! We were treated to O Rings (onion rings) with “Louisiana Licker” sauce, soft pretzels, and Lube Chips with beer cheese as well and all of those were winners. Everything was well seasoned, filling, and leaving you wanting more!

As if there was room for dessert, servers came around with Triple Rich Fudge Brownie bites. Served warm and gooey, they were a must have. I can’t wait to go back to Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant for their Salted Caramel Cake.

Quaker Steak & Lube and the Community

The Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant is already serving the community as well, with fundraising for a local school that suffered a damaging fire with a silent auction during this event, as well as asking for donations from each person attending the opening event. Car Cruise-Ins will be on Sundays, check their Facebook page for more details.

In full disclosure, this is a sponsored post from Quaker Steak & Lube Edison. We were guests of the restaurant for a media night and provided with a meal for our family at no charge.  However, our opinions are honest and based on our experiences at the Quaker Steak & Lube Edison.
