Pinocchio may have told a few lies too many, but we’re not lying when we tell you Pinocchio is another great performance in a series of quality family theater at the Arden Theatre Company.

Meet Pinocchio, a wicked wooden boy who trades his schoolbooks for candy and plays hooky at the amusement park. When his father Gepetto is swallowed by a giant whale, Pinocchio has the chance to truly be brave for the first time. Five storytellers bring this tale to life with great physicality and help from the audience’s imagination.

My daughter is a fibber but she has her dads tell so i catch her everytime.

  2. Kelly Moran says:

My mom told me she sees everything and has “eyes” behind her head. I always laughed at her and one day she caught me lying and pulled aside the back of her hair to reveal two “eyes” Of course they were those plastic stick on kind but I thought for the longest time they were real! Totally freaked me out LOL

  3. Christy says:

My kids believe that we have a hidden camera in the house, so whenever they “try” to pull a fast one, I tell them I will rewind the tape and see what really happened. They always end up telling me the truth, through plenty of tears.

  4. Tammy Lewis says:

My son is only 2 so haven’t gotten too much into that…but we are trying to work on the potty thing… a few days ago I thought I smelled poo and asked him…he said no mommy I didnt poo…and I said why you stinky than…he laughed and said cause I did poo…I just explained its better to tell the truth cause he will get a sore butt. He just said ok Mommy… he is too young to really go into too much detail yet

  5. Marc says:

Our daughter came into our room with marker all over her face and when we told her to bring us the marker she was adamant that she didn’t have an ORANGE marker. Hmm, who said what color the marker was??!? BUSTED.

  6. Becky says:

Funny story about learning about lying = Just this week, my daughter lied about having eaten her dinner (chicken nuggets), thinking that she’d get to eat her dessert (water ice) sooner.

My husband caught her, because our cat was found sniffing around and pawing at the chicken nuggets, which she had thrown behind the TV.

So, while she was upstairs, changing in to her PJs, we took the water ice cup and put it behind the TV too. When she got back downstairs and asked where her dessert was, we told her that it was waiting for her in the same place where the rest of her dinner was. That was when she realized that we had found the hidden nuggets.

We then talked about (1) the importance of telling the truth and (2) why you should never hide your food behind the TV, or anywhere else for that matter.

  7. Mel B says:

My kids recently watched a TV show and the theme of the show was lying. They talked to me about it, so in this case, TV wasn’t so bad! It actually taught them a lesson!
