The Kids Bowl Free Program

Summer is my favorite time of year. It’s also “Bowl for free all summer long” time again. And that gets me really excited! But you don’t have to wait till summer for free bowling for kids. From around April until October children can be bowling for free as part of this program.

Kids Bowl Free is a national bowling program that provides free bowling for kids at participating bowling alleys across the country.

Kids get to bowl up to 2 free games per day, from late spring to late summer. Some of the alleys start their free game passes as early as April! You can find out start and end dates below and on each location’s registration page. We’ll update this listing often since bowling alleys release their information at different times throughout the year.

How does the Kids Bowl Free Program works?

Safety Precautions in Place for Kids Bowl Free

Here are a few things to keep in mind as you prepare for a fun summer of bowling for free in New Jersey.

  • Capacity is limited in New Jersey bowling alleys. Perhaps call ahead to find out when the off-peak times are or if you can reserve a lane. Some NJ bowling alleys have stated that reservations will be required. I imagine as the summer progresses others may do the same.
  • Plan to eat before you visit. Many bowling alleys in NJ have stopped food sales and may not allow guests to bring their own food.
  • While bowling balls and rental shoes should be available, now would be a good time to consider buying your kids their own. We have recommendations in our guide to 7 TIPS to Save MORE with Kids Bowl Free.
