Monster Jam: An 8 year old Child’s Perspective

Mommy this is the coolest thing ever!

These are the words that my youngest muttered to me during the middle of our recent trip to Monster Jam: Path of Destruction in Baltimore. This was at the moment when he saw his new favorite monster truck Iron Man pull onto the course for its freestyle run. When we returned to the hotel that night he was so excited and couldn’t stop talking about the show. I grabbed a pen and paper and asked him if he would mind sharing his thoughts with us and he quickly started writing. I am very excited to share this with you.

He was so happy to be at his 1st Monster Jam

Why Monster Jam was the coolest night of my life-Logan age 8

I am so glad that I got to go see Monster Jam in person. I have never been to a show but, I have played the video game a lot. I was really excited because I was going to see Grave Digger and Monster Mutt. I always play Monster Mutt when I play the game. I didn’t know that there would be superhero trucks though. We went to the pit party and I couldn’t believe that there was a Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine and Iron Man truck. I love comics and superheroes so to see them was AWESOME. I really like Wolverine because his name is Logan and that is my name too. When I saw the Iron Man truck though I thought I freaked out. Iron Man is my favorite Avenger and now my favorite monster truck. We didn’t get to go close to the truck though because the line was closing. That was ok though because I knew soon I would see Iron Man on the track. My mom told me that the driver of Iron Man is from New Jersey like us and I almost fell over.

Monster Jam was cool because the trucks are really big and they race around the course which is exciting. I liked that when the trucks weren’t racing or doing tricks that other things were going on so I didn’t get bored. We saw quads race and a cool truck that had a cannon that shot prizes into the crowd really high up. The drivers are all really nice and they come into the stands and talk to the fans and gave stuff away.

I watched Iron Man and Wolverine race around the track and I yelled and screamed for them it was cool. My favorite part was watching them at the freestyle round, the trucks doing really cool tricks and fly high in the air and do flips. It was very exciting to watch and cheer all the trucks on. I can’t wait to go back to another Monster Jam!

Iron Man is his favorite

Want to hear more about the Iron Man truck and it’s driver Lee O’Donnell? Later this week my little guy will have the opportunity to interview his favorite truck driver. We can’t wait to share it with you. Do you have any questions that you would like Lee to answer. Leave a comment and let us know, we will do our best to get them answered.
