We love love love having experiences with our families. With the upcoming break from school, there are so many days where you can have an experience with your kids. Our website, is full of ways to spend your winter break having fun together, so please explore (after we tell you about this way). This past Saturday, we had a fascinating experience at the Liberty Science Center as part of a blogger event with the JerseyMomsBlog. As part of our swag bag we were given 4 tickets to host a Liberty Science Center Ticket Giveaway.  After we a week of back-to-back ticket giveaways, this is a super way for us to wrap it up.

The Liberty Science Center has so many activities for the kids to do. Whether you visit during winter break, yearround or both, we know your family will have a wonderful time.

12 Liberty Science Center activities to do with your kids year-round.

Whether you win our Liberty Science Center ticket giveaway or not here are some great reasons to plan a visit to the Liberty Science Center.

  • Go see a show in the NEW Liberty Science Center planetarium. You can read all about it in this article, The NEW Liberty Science Center Planetarium ~ The Region’s Largest & Most Advanced Planetarium.
  • Be a part of science experiments. ~ Check the Liberty Science Center schedule when you arrive to see what science experiments your kids can sign up to be a part of or demonstrations they might have a chance to volunteer in.
  • Test your body knowledge and see what’s happening on the inside of you and your kids.
  • Pose for a picture.
  • Walk across a steel beam 20 feet high in the air.

  • Climb the Infinity Climber. This is a suspended multi-story play space with some areas as high as 35 feet above the floor. Kids and their parents can climb on 64 petal-like platforms anchored to large curved steel pipes. It may weigh 21,000 pounds and be the world’s first suspended climbing play space but it feels completely secure and is totally fun.

  • Use your muscles to generate hydropower.
  • Examine cells under a microscope.
  • Every hat tells a story, listen to stories from different construction workers.

Admission to the Liberty Science Center starts at $18.75 per child ticket and $22.75 per adult ticket. Additional charges apply for theater shows and special exhibits.

    Both are selected as the national educational partner for GSK Science in the Summer, a free Summer program designed to engage children in science, technology, engineering, and math at an early age. My daughter loves math just like her older brother.

    Pretty neat that they took the largest dome theater in the US and upgraded it to become the largest planetarium in the US too.

    It is always hard to choose what shows to see in the dome theater when they are all awesome plus it’s difficult to find the time when you could spend days in the rest of the museum and still not see it all.

    I guess a planetarium show would be my choice because it is new.

    We’re dying to see the new planetarium. We want to see Saturn up close too and all the constellations. The Franklin Institute also has IMAX theaters and a huge section devoted to outer space, but this is the biggest planetarium around. We also want to do the infinity climber. Franklin Institute has a climbing section of the brain that we enjoyed but Liberty Science Center has the climbing section suspended in mid-air which looks awesome. My son also loves the challenge of walking across this deal beams. Would love a chance to win
