We are excited to bring you a series of posts about new Leap Frog products. We have received these products in exchange for our honest review and promotion as a member of the LeapFrog Mom Ambassador program. #LeapFrogMom #LeapFrog. We thank Leapfrog for their support of Jersey Family Fun. This article was written by former writer, J.G. who is no longer with Jersey Family Fun.

 JFF Loves Epic

LeapFrog Epic Tablet

LeapFrog’s most advanced Android-based tablet, is uniquely designed to grow with your child abd to ignite endless learning and creative play. It’s no surprise that kiddos want to be connected; everyone in the world around us is connected. Now with this Android-based tablet their learning can know no bounds. This newest technology from LeapFrog, with its sturdiness and durability, will grow with your children, and requires no cartridges!

What is LeapFrog Epic?

This new LeapFrog tablet has become a fast favorite in our house. We love that out of the box it came with 20 games and apps that made it playable from the moment that they opened it. With user profiles for every child, and parental controls, you can monitor your child’s learning curriculum and their progress!

As the kiddos are growing I want them to have a tablet that grows with them, one that is basic in design but robust in the capabilities. Most children’s tablets on the market I find are geared towards different age ranges and don’t offer the ability to extend past that.  The Epic has so much potential to grow with both girls. The design of the tablet makes them feel “just like a grown up” as Riley said, as she noted that it looked a lot like a tablet that I have.

One of the features that we also love is that the stylus is attached to the tablet itself, so there is added safety that it’s not getting lost. The best part is it can be used with and without the stylus.

The biggest win about this LeapFrog Epic tablet is the fact that it is android based. We have found that it can connect to the Amazon App Store by going to the App Center in the parent account and then go to their “other” option and then the Epic Tablet walks you through how to download the Amazon App Store.

With that added bonus when the kiddos want to watch a specific show, we are able to download Netflix and let the binge watching of Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake begin! That right there was AWESOME! The girls love being able to watch their shows and play their fun games too.

EPIC Learning

Past that there are also some really fun creativity apps that are included on the tablet such as Photo Fun Ultra, Art Studio Ultra (which is another household favorite of ours), and Coloring with LeapSchool.

It is easy to download the apps, you will have to access your parent account and wifi to do so.  But the best part is the kids do not have to be on the wifi to play what you have downloaded.

Abigail loves the music albums, especially the Nursery Rhymes she loves to dance around to them. They both love playing Alphabet Stew and a couple of the other LeapFrog Apps that we downloaded.

LeapFrog DID CONFIRM that they are excited that the new Imagicards will have a compatibility to the Epic Tablet later this fall! That alone will add a brand new level of game play for this tablet, so the possibilities are endless!
