The park and playground are located at 121 Laurel Oak Road in Voorhees, New Jersey in Camden County. The park is part of the Voorhees park system.
What kind of playground equipment does Kirkwood Park have?
This was a pretty basic playground. I felt comfortable letting my three-year-old climb all over as not much of it was very high or too difficult for him.
Are there swings?
There are four swings – two traditional and two baby swings. (Please note, one baby swing was broken during our July 2022 visit).
Are there slides?
There are four slides, mostly straight. One slide has a bumpy texture on it and another has a slight curve.
What special features does the playground offer?
Special features include climbing walls, sensory play areas, and a tunnel.
What kind of ground cover does the playground have?
The ground was covered in wood mulch.
Is the playground at Kirkwood Park accessible?
This is not an accessible playground. There were no ramps onto the equipment or accessible swings.
Is there shade available at the Kirkwood Park playground?
There were some picnic tables under trees but the majority of the playground was in the sun.
Where is parking for Kirkwood Park?
There is a parking lot that has ample parking but it is a “far” (for children) walk to the playground. There did seem to be a parking lot closer to the playground but I could not locate the entrance to it.
Are there restrooms at Kirkwood Park?
There is only one port-a-potty located near the parking lot and it was quite far from the playground. I would not send my child on their own or leave one of my children to play while I took another.
What else is there to do at Kirkwood Park?
In addition to the playground at Kirkwood Park, there are additional amenities available for visitors.
Are there walking trails?
There is a small walking path around the park.
Are there fields or courts for sports?
There is a wide open field near the parking lot, two bocci ball courts, several basketball courts, and a baseball field.
