KIDZ BOP Atlantic City concert at Boardwalk Hall presented by Live Nation
When my kids first found out we were going to see the KIDZ BOP Atlantic City concert live, they could hardly contain themselves! We couldn’t wait for the day of the concert to arrive, and we were so happy the show was right down the Expressway in Atlantic City! The kids invited some of their friends, and away we went! Parking was available on site at Boardwalk Hall, or at any of the city’s parking garages. We chose to park a few blocks away and enjoy a short stroll on the boardwalk on our way down to the show.
All of my kids and their friends love singing along to KIDZ BOP CDs in the car and at home, so they were really excited that they already knew the words to most of the songs we heard there!
KIDZ BOP is a series of compilation albums dating back to 2001. Since the debut of KIDZ BOP, 32 albums have been released, all of which are compilations of kids singing chart topping songs, in a kid friendly way. The current tour, “Life of the Party” is the seventh KIDZ BOP tour since it began in 2001. For us, it was our first ever KIDZ BOP concert.
Right from the beginning of the KIDZ BOP Atlantic City concert, the KIDZ BOP kids had our kids out of their seats and dancing! I may or may not have even caught myself singing along to the hits with them! The show was entertaining, with lots of special effects, from the lighting, to smoke, and even down to the great costumes, all of which I thought were very appropriate considering the young crowd.
The performers threw some T shirts into the crowd to get them all excited for the show before it even started. The audience was involved in all aspects of the show, including the “Dancing Dads” contest, where several dads from the crowd were brought up on stage to have a dance off, judged by the audience’s applause. At one point in the show, Grant, one of the KIDZ BOP kids, even brought a child from the crowd up front, and made a phone call to his friend at home just to “check in”. How Cool!
Needless to say, the concert was a huge success, even considering the wide range of age in the kids we brought with us. Everyone had a great time, and something tells me, the “Life of the Party” will NOT be our last KIDZ BOP concert! Until next time Kidz!
