My Kids’ 5 Favorite Things about our Hershey Lodge Room

This post was made possible by Hershey Lodge who provided us with an overnight stay at no charge. We appreciate their support of Jersey Family Fun that allows us to share with families information about hotels we think families will enjoy.

Hershey Lodge Room

My family and I were recently lucky enough to be guests at the Hershey Lodge, in Pennsylvania as part of the grand reopening of Hershey’s Chocolate World. We were all excited about our trip to Hersheypark the next morning, but as soon as we got to Hershey Lodge, we didn’t want to leave! The foyer and check-in area were gorgeous, with a rustic feel and huge fireplaces crackling away. There was a café as well as some other restaurants and gift shops on site. The staff was friendly and helpful, and of course, along with our Hershey Lodge room keys, we each got a Hershey bar at check in!

Normally, when I review a place or event, I like to talk about all the things I enjoyed, but this time, I think I will let the kids do the talking. They are, after all, the reason we spend so much time seeking out fun new adventures! So…

My Kids’ 5 Favorite Things about our Hershey Lodge Room

1. Kisses on the pillows!

That’s right! When we arrived in our Hershey Lodge room, the first thing the kids noticed was the special treat left for them on the bed. Four Hershey’s Kisses, arranged ever so neatly, right by the pillow. Talk about a sweet surprise!

Wait, did I say 4 Hershey’s Kisses??? I wonder where those other 2 went…

2. Chocolate scented toiletries!

They smell almost good enough to eat!

Just in case they didn’t ingest enough chocolate during our trip to the park, even the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in our Hershey Lodge room was infused with cocoa, giving it an oh-so-sweet scent! My kids couldn’t wait to bring the leftovers home so they could return to school on Monday morning smelling like chocolate!

3. Hershey’s Kisses printed on EVERYTHING!

The Hershey Lodge room pillowcases, the sheets, even the wallpaper in the bathroom was adorned with that cute kiss pattern!

4. The cozy beds

My kids aren’t the best sleepers in the world…and they slept quite soundly in those Hershey Lodge room beds! Could’ve been exhaustion… Could’ve been all that chocolate… But they said the beds were the comfiest beds they ever slept in! I’ll take that!

My kids helped themselves to the Hershey Kisses on our bedside table.

As long as Jersey Family Fun has been visiting the Hershey Lodge, our kids can’t help but help themselves to the Hershey Kisses on our beds.

5. Plenty of space for a pack and play!

Ok, Ok, I had to get my two cents in somewhere! When traveling with a larger family, one thing that can become an issue is space. We have stayed in many hotel rooms where it’s virtually impossible to set up a pack and play for the baby to sleep in and still be able to move around the room without climbing across the furniture. In the Hershey Lodge room, we did not have this issue! There was plenty of room to set up the pack and play (which was delivered to our room by hotel staff upon request ahead of our arrival), and still move freely around the room.

Take a look at our Hershey Lodge room video we made you.

So there you have it! 5 great things about the rooms at Hershey Lodge, from the perspective of a 5 year old and 6 year old… Because we all know, if the kids aren’t happy, nobody’s happy!
