Imagination Kingdom Playground in Pemberton Township is touted in the region as being a destination playground trip and it is easy to see why. There is an abundance of castle-themed playground equipment to keep little ones occupied.

Jersey Family Fun first reported on this Burlington County playground back in 2012, but I returned this past July (2022) to gather new pictures and more details on this majestic playground.

Where is Imagination Kingdom Playground located?

There are three addresses associated with this Pemberton playground. One is 9-, 23 4 Mile Rd, in Pemberton. Another is 500 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road in Pemberton. The township lists the address as 599 Pemberton Browns Mills Road. The park is part of the Pemberton Township park system.

What kind of playground equipment does the Imagination Kingdom have?

There is so much to do at this castle-themed playground. You truly get to run wild with your imagination. You can be a prince, princess, dragon slayer, whatever you want at the Imagination Kingdom. There are a bunch of climbing walls and slides for all ages to enjoy and slides galore.

Are there swings?

There are three structures with swings. The first has 8 traditional swings.

A second structure has 4 baby swings.

A unique catapult structure features a tire swing.

Are there slides?

There are 21 slides. There is a mix of side-by-side slides, curvy slides, twisting slides, and slides with rollers. All slides are open, but there are some tunnels that have some slope to them.

What special features does the playground offer?

There are numerous special features such as rock walls, castle playground structures, spinners, see-saws, bridges, and more.

See-saws

Here are two of the special see-saws they have. One that is for 4 people in single seats and another for 4 or more in what looks like a see-saw being rocked by horses.

Climbing Features

Climbing features at this park include rope ladders, climbing webs, and a stand-alone climbing structure with webs, o-rings, and ladder/monkey bars.

What kind of ground cover does the playground have?

The ground surface is rubber padding.

Is the playground at the Imagination Kingdom accessible?

There is a ramp onto the playground equipment as well as some ground-level sensory play. There are no accessible swings.

There is a wheelchair-accessible Sway Fun glider that is accessed from a ramp on the playground structure.

We also discovered this interesting crank-type feature that can be operated with hands and/or feet.

Is there shade available at the Imagination Kingdom Playground? 

There is a seating area right outside the playground with lots of picnic benches that are in the shade.

There is a seating area in the middle of the playground which is under a pavilion.

The playground itself is not shaded. There is some shade under some of the playground features.

Where is parking for the Imagination Kingdom? 

There is a large parking lot.

Are there restrooms at the Imagination Kingdom?

There are indoor restrooms and water fountains. The restrooms also offer a changing table.

What else is there to do at the Imagination Kingdom?

In addition to the playground, there are baseball fields available for visitors.

Are there walking trails?

We did not see any walking trails on our visit.

Are there fields or courts for sports? 

There are baseball fields nearby.
