My boys love ice cream. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, it doesn’t matter what season, they love it! So when we got hit with a big winter snow storm while we were visiting my parents’ in St. Louis a few weeks ago, I knew we just HAD to try and create a snow cream recipe.

Our How to Make Snow Cream recipe
Once you have all the ingredients needed for this snow cream recipe, all you have to do is mix all your ingredients together. That’s it! This recipe for making ice cream from snow will yield approximately 1 gallon of snow cream.
Making snow cream is so easy that even your youngest child can join in the fun. And, of course, it’s so delicious that the whole family will enjoy eating it! It’s a great snow day snack!
We used almond milk for our snow cream recipe, which I suspect gave it more of an icier texture rather than the creamier texture we’re used to. (It reminded me more of the ice cream in Europe than what we have here in America.) Of course, that didn’t seem to bother the kids at all! They loved making ice cream from snow.
This is one snow day recipe that lets you have your snow and eat it too. ;-)
