Do you like the word free? Well…How about a free meal?


On Tuesday, July 11th from opening until 7 PM it’s Chick-Fil-A Cow Appreciation Day at your local Chick-Fil-A Restaurant! We’re here to help show you how to make a cow costume so you can take advantage of this event.


For one day only, black and white spots, cow bells and furry ears will be appropriate attire at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the nation. In celebration of July 11th, Chick-Fil-A Cow Appreciation Day, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE Entree (kids will receive a kids meal) to any customer who comes to one of our 1,700+ restaurants fully dressed as a cow.

Make a Cow Mask

Supplies Needed to Make a Cow Mask

  • Glue
  • Black, Pink, and White construction paper
  • Black Marker
  • Rubber Bands
  • Stapler
  • Scissors

Directions to Make a Cow Mask

  1. Cut out black ears and hair.
  2. Cut out pink inner ears.
  3. Glue the pink ears to the black ears.
  4. Glue the hair onto the top backside of the plate.
  5. Glue the ears onto the top of the front of the plate.
  6. Cut out a white oval and glue that to the front of the plate.
  7. With a black marker draw eyes over the oval, nostrils and a smile on the white oval.
  8. Now take a look at your plate and see where you can draw on some black spots.
  9. At the point cut a rubber band so that you have one long piece and staple it to the back of the plate.
  10. Put your mask on to try on for fit and adjust as needed.

Supplies Needed to Make a Cow Costume

  • For the white body
    • White Pillowcase or T-shirt (sweatshirt if wearing in colder weather)
    • White or black shorts/sweats if going for a full body cow costume.
  • For the Black spots
    • Black construction paper, black sharpie marker, black fabric marker, or black fabric paint
  • If this is only a temporary costume, you will need tape and scissors.


Directions to Make a Cow Costume

  • For a temporary costume, cut out black circles and use tape to attach the circles to your white shirt.
  • For a more permanent costume
    • Cut arm holes into the pillowcase if you are using a pillow case.
    • Use a black fabric marker or paint to create random black spots on your pillow case or t-shirt.
    • Use a hot iron or dryer to set the paint or marker after it dries so it doesn’t wash out.
