This post was sponsored by the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn who provided breakfast and lunch for my family to enjoy. We appreciate their support of Jersey Family Fun that allows us to share with families Pennsylvania restaurants we think your family may enjoy.
When we’re traveling as a family, it is easy for us to fall into the fast food trap. Sometimes the kids are just too tired for a whole restaurant outing, where waiting for a waitress to come and take your order can cause a mid-day meltdown.
When we found out about the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn and their buffet/smorgasbord, we thought it was the perfect option for our family while we were vacationing in Lancaster. We were able to serve ourselves on our own timeline from the buffet, and for three hungry boys who are ALWAYS ready to eat right away, that was a major selling point!
My three hungry boys were loving the salad bar at the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn.
We had lunch at the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn on our first day in Lancaster. There were tons of options for us, including a soup station, salad bar, hot food buffet, baked potato station, and lots of dessert options. My kids loved the creativity a buffet allows for. They enjoyed making nachos with the baked potato bar toppings and some tortilla chips they found at the buffet. After a filling and quick lunch, we were happy to go on our way and enjoy the rest of our sightseeing with full bellies.
The next morning we were back at the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn for breakfast. My kids made a beeline for the make-your-own-waffles area. As a mom, I was appreciative that the waffles were already pre-portioned and ready to go next to the waffle maker, making it mess-free. There were lots of healthy options like oatmeal and fruit, plus kid favorites like pancakes and cereal. It was a great meal for both myself and the kids because there was something for everyone to enjoy.
There were plenty of choices for us at the buffet of the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn.
Our time at the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn proved to us that you can have a quick sit-down meal with your family while traveling without spending your whole day waiting for your food. The next time we visit the Lancaster area, we will be sure to visit the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn again.
