Heritage Station Farm, Gloucester County – Pick Your Own New Jersey Farms

It was a beautiful day to take the family to Heritage Station Farms (a pick your own farm and vineyard) for apple and pear picking. The farm offered grapes and pumpkins as well.

We walked to the apple orchard because it was easier for us to bring our double carriage, but you can take a hayride. The trees were plentiful and there were several different varieties of apples and pears. On our way back to the tent to pay for our apples and pears, we stopped at the animals to feed the goat and chickens, and see a really enormous cow. My kids were ecstatic.

Afterwards, we sat on the rocking chairs on their porch and listened to the live music they have on weekends. The kids and I enjoyed apple cider from their store and a cheese plate of manchago cheese with crackers, olives, and grapes as well as chocolate chip cookies from the bakery. My husband enjoyed their free wine tasting and then some wine by the glass.

Heritage had a really cute store with holiday and wine themed merchandise, as well as a bakery, a mini cheese shop, the wine tasting area, and a farm stand out front. They have a small menu where you can get things like baked brie.

Heritage Station Farm and Vineyard is located at 480 Mullica Hill Road, Mullica Hill. They are open weekends in September and October from 10 to 5 for picking. Our family loves it and we make it a point to go every year.
