The Land of Make Believe, located in Hope, is the perfect destination on a hot summer day. This park offers a wide variety of activities and rides for kids of most ages. Families can enjoy a day of nonstop action or hours relaxing on the lazy river. There is something for everyone! The Land of Make Believe is open on the weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend, then open daily beginning June 21st through Labor Day. Here is what families can enjoy:

  • Pirate’s Plunge water slide

  • Life -Size Pirate Ship with nets and slides

Then check out one of the two great fish hatcheries in Warren County: Pequest Trout Hatchery and National Resource Education Center in Oxford and Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery (also known as Charles A. Hayward State Fish Hatchery). The Pequest Hatchery is open daily from 10am – 4pm. The center shows visitors how over 600,000 brook, brown and rainbow trout are raised for stocking the public waters of NJ. The interactive displays are both fun and educational! Visitors can also enjoy hiking trails, hunting and fishing. The Hackettstown Hatchery has two components, the West Hatchery and the East Hatchery. The West Hatchery the education center, culture facility and 100-acre extensive pond complex. The East Hatchery has 40 ponds used for extensive production.

 

 

Enjoy a Summer Day AND Night at Donaldson Farms

Donaldson Farms has so much to offer families this summer! During the day, families can enjoy strawberry picking and fun farm activities such as hay rides and playing in the sand box. Then, every Friday this summer families can enjoy a fun night on the farm as well. Beginning June 20th, from 5pm – 9pm, families can feast on amazing food made from fresh farm ingredients while enjoying live music. There will also be children’s games, contests with great prizes, hay rides, pony rides and sprinkler fun to beat the heat. The best part is that entry is FREE!
