Splash away in Dorbrook Park

Dorbrook Park in Colt’s Neck is the perfect place to head on a summer day. Enjoy a walk or bike ride along the paved trails, play a game of tennis or hoops, or play on the barrier free playground. The highlight of this park, however, is the Sprayground. The kids will love splashing in the water-enhanced playground to cool off and have fun. If you have any energy left after a day at the park, be sure to stop at nearby Eastmont Orchards to pick some delicious fresh peaches!

Enjoy a park day OR a beach day at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park

Seven Presidents Park in Longbranch offers something to entertain everyone. During the summer, the beach is the biggest draw. Daily beach badges are just $7 for adults and age 17 and under are free! Beach goers will enjoy the convenience of an onsite snack bar, sheltered eating areas, outdoor showers, and changing areas. The park also offers play areas for the kids to enjoy.

Explore Gateway National Park

Gateway National Park, otherwise known as Sandy Hook, offers a variety of activities for families that extend past a day at the beach. While visitors can certainly enjoy a relaxing day at the beach, there are hiking trails to explore, Ranger Programs to learn from, a lighthouse to climb, and historic areas such as Fort Hancock to discover. Sandy Hook is also a great place for birding, fishing, and biking. There are even rustic campsites available for those who would like to spend the night.
