What is the Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass?

Adventure Aquarium’s Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass is a child’s FREE ticket to underwater fun, offering unlimited access to its year-long programming.

This Adventure Aquarium program has been in place for a few years and we’re so excited to see it return for 2023.

Who is eligible for the free admission to Adventure Aquarium?

All children who were born on and between September 7, 2017 and October 30, 2020 are eligible to sign up for the program. The child must be 5 years or younger at time of registration.

Kids under 2 are always free at Adventure Aquarium and do not require registration for a pass.

What happens if my child is turning 6 this year?

As long as your child is 5 years of age on the date you register for the pass, your child is eligible.

Should I register my 1 year old child?

If your child will turn 2 years old between now and September 6, 2023 I would register him/her. To avoid admission charges once your child turns 2, the Adventure Aquarium recommends getting them a Pre-K Pass while it is available. If activated by Sunday, October 29, 2023 your child will be able to start using their Pre-K Pass starting on their 2nd birthday.

Do parents, guardians, and adults get free admission?

The Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass only grants free admission to enrolled children. Grownups can save on admission by purchasing a membership for themselves or their family (if you have older children not eligible for the program.)

Memberships can be a great way to save money on visits to the Adventure Aquarium as some members receive free parking, discounts on merchandise and food, special event invites, and other perks. Benefits vary with the level of membership.

Adults accompanying a child with a Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass aren’t required to have a membership, but they will need a ticket to visit the museum with their child.

How do I sign up for the Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass?

Parents and guardians can register their kids for the Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass at the Adventure Aquarium site at adventureaquarium.com/aquarium-admission/memberships/pre-k/.

Registration CAN NOT be done over the phone. The process CAN NOT be started at the Aquarium. It MUST be started online at the link above.

When can I register my child?

Parents and guardians can register their kids for the Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass starting August 21, 2023. The registration deadline is October 29, 2023 but may end sooner if the program fills.

My child had the Pre-K Kid Pass to Adventure Aquarium last year. Does it renew?

No, ALL children need to re-register in order to receive a new Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass that will be valid going forward (after their current expiration date.). Register them online and visit the Adventure Aquarium Box Office with proof of age on or before October 29, 2023.

My child is 6 years old, now what?

If your child had a 2022 Adventure Aquarium Pre-K Kid Pass they would have received an offer for a discount on a regular membership since they are no longer eligible for the free admission to Adventure Aquarium.

Is there a deadline to sign up?

All children MUST register AND visit Adventure Aquarium in person by October 29, 2023, to activate their children’s passes.

Pre-K Kid’s Passes are limited in availability, and families are encouraged to register and activate their child’s pass early to avoid missing out on oceans of adventure! Do not wait till October 29, 2023, to get started. Start now!

Is there a limit on the number of free admission passes for one family?

You can register as many children as you have that are between the ages of 2 years old and 5 years old.

How do I activate my child’s Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass?

Free admission passes/memberships MUST be activated in person at Adventure Aquarium by October 29, 2023. Visit the box office to complete the activation process. It is highly recommended you make reservations to activate your passes. You can activate your pass anytime between your signup date and October 29, 2023.

Any registrations not activated by October 29, 2023 will become invalid and ineligible to receive a Pre-K Pass for that child.

What do I need to activate my child’s Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass?

Please bring the following items with you to the Adventure Aquarium Box Office to activate your pass.

• Proof of age for EACH child – valid proof of age documents include an original or copy of a birth certificate, passport, adoption papers, or Green Card. Printed and digital documentation is accepted.

When can I use my child’s free admission to Adventure Aquarium pass?

You can begin using your child’s Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass on the day it’s activated.

When does the pass for free Adventure Aquarium admission expire?

Adventure Aquarium’s Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass is a special pass that offers unlimited FREE admission to the Aquarium for an entire year. The Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass is good for one year through the end of the month in which the pass was activated in person.

What does the Pre-K Kid’s Adventure Pass include?

The pass only includes free admission to Adventure Aquarium for the passholder.

What’s not included in the free admission pass?

A Pre-K pass holder does not receive membership perks such as bring-a-friend tickets/special weeks or discounted/free parking. There are no automatic renewals.

Take a walk across the world’s longest Shark Bridge, suspended just inches above the sandbar with sand tiger sharks swimming below in a 550,000-gallon, 21-foot-deep Shark Realm exhibit.

Christmas Underwater | November through December

‘Tis the season for underwater adventures! Join us for a wintry celebration that includes holiday-themed décor, aquatic light displays, the world’s largest underwater Christmas tree, and a visit from Scuba Santa. It’s one of the jolliest times of year to visit the aquarium.

Shark Summer | August through September

Summer is all about the sharks! Take a chomp out of Shark Summer as you learn about the ocean’s apex predators, come face-to-face with live sharks, and catch a glimpse of the Scuba Tooth Fairy.
