This Field of Dreams Playground is located at 42 River Lane in Thorofare, New Jersey. The park is part of the West Deptford park system. It is open every day of the year to the public from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. except for scheduled events, activities and/or unusual and unforeseen emergencies.
What kind of playground equipment does the Field of Dreams Park in West Deptford have?
This park offers a wooden, castle-like playground with a lot of climbing equipment and open space for children to run around.
Are there swings?
They have a swing section that has 6 traditional swings and 2 baby swings. There are not any accessible swings.
Are there slides?
There are slides of varying heights but most are high – there was really only one that was a height that a smaller child could get to without a parent wanting to climb through the structure with them. There were twisty and straight slides, tunnel, and open, all plastic.
What special features does the playground offer?
There were so many tunnels and small places for the kids to climb through.
There was a large sandbox which was thrilling for my kids, especially the younger ones. I have not seen many playgrounds that have a sandbox and this one was pretty large in size.
What kind of ground cover does the playground have?
The majority of the playground is covered in wood chips but there is a portion in the center of the playground that is covered by rubber.
Is the playground at Field of Dreams Park in West Deptford accessible?
There were ramps to get on some parts of the playground but aside from moving around the structure, there was not much accessible.
Is there shade available at the West Deptford Field of Dreams Park Playground?
The main climbing structure is not really shaded, but there are areas within the structure, like the tunnels, that are shaded. There are also a lot of shaded areas to sit.
There is a gazebo with a few picnic tables underneath and there are tables around the edges of the playground under trees.
Where is parking for the Field of Dreams West Deptford?
There is a parking lot that has ample parking. However, there are a few baseball fields that share the parking space so it could get crowded.
Are there restrooms at this Field of Dreams?
There is an indoor restroom located outside of the fenced-in portion of the playground near the parking lot.

Another thing I loved is that the picnic tables and seating areas were INSIDE the fenced-in playground.
Other families have shared how this West Deptford playground is a fantastic spot for a game of Hide and Go Seek! It has so many forts and tunnels that make perfect hiding spots!
Other moms have also shared how Field of Dreams West Deptford is a great place for children of all ages. The entire playground is enclosed by a fence. There is even a closing gate at the entrance. There are some high spots that could be a little scary for the little ones (and for the adults watching) but it’s very easy to follow the children around if desired.
