For 3 to 5 year olds and an adult partner. Fledgling Naturalist programs are designed to encourage young children’s curiosity, engaging them hands-on in the natural world through seasonally-themed activities, stories, games, and crafts.
This winter we’ll be exploring winter wildlife, weather, and birds. The timing of topics will depend primarily on weather conditions. Friday’s program is a repeat of Thursday.
Arrive any time between 1:00 and 1:30 for free play on Thursday and between 10:30 and 11:00 AM on Friday. Story time and the rest of the program begins at 1:30 on Thursday and 11:00 AM on Friday.
Fee: $5.00 per adult/child pair. $2.00 for additional siblings age 2 to 5. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Interpretive Center at 973-875-1471. Siblings (or other children) over the age of five may not attend, and each adult may bring a maximum of two children (not including infants and with possible exceptions for parents of multiples).
Registration is required by 4:00 PM the day before the program. Fees must be paid in full before the program begins. Payments can be made by phone or in-person at the Park Office, but we are not permitted to accept them at the Interpretive Center.
