2020 Update, as told to us through Facebook messenger, the Ocean Grove July 4th Celebration is cancelled for 2020.
FRIDAY, JULY 5th
WHAT: UNITED STATES NAVY BAND – The premier musical organization of the U.S. Navy. Since 1925, the Navy Band has been entertaining audiences and supporting the Navy with some of the best musicians in the country, performing more than 270 public concerts and 1,300 ceremonies each year. Appearing as part of OGCMA’s traditional family entertainment offerings, the Band will strike up contemporary/popular music including jazz, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and original material.
WHERE: The Great Auditorium
SATURDAY, JULY 6TH – Three Great Events on One Great Day
1) INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE: CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA
WHAT: Over 2,000 participants including floats, community groups, civic organizations, local politicians, businesses, and thousands of onlookers. It’s one of the most famous and favorite summer events on the Shore and you won’t want to miss it, again or for the first time.
WHERE: Starting on Whitefield Avenue, turning east along Main Avenue to Central Avenue, turning north towards Ocean Pathway, then east again, ending along Ocean Avenue.
2) TOWN CELEBRATION
WHAT: The fun continues after the parade with food; family friendly entertainment with DJ Jean Marie; and games and activities hosted by many of the local businesses, organizations and civic groups.
WHERE: Auditorium Square Park and the Auditorium Pavilion Area
3) FIREWORKS ON OCEAN GROVE BEACH
WHAT: A delightful night of rich color and bright light.
