New Year’s Day First Day Hike: FIGHTING FIRES AND FUELING INDUSTRY AT BATSTO VILLAGE

Join Batsto Village on New Year’s Day as we explore the history of fires and fire prevention at Batsto Village. This guided hike will span from the Batsto Mansion to the Batsto Fire Tower, with historical interpretation focusing on both the industrial use and destructive power of fire in the Pinelands. This event will be offered three times, throughout the day. Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome.

Level of Difficulty

Moderate – 2 miles. Wear sturdy footgear & weather-appropriate clothing. Bring water and snacks.

Recommended Ages

All ages are welcome.
