11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
High Point State Park
For families with children ages 5 and up. Come join us for a short walk to look for signs of nature in winter that start with all the letters of the alphabet. “I” is for ice…let’s hope “Z” isn’t zero degrees! If there are about six inches of snow (or more), participants will have an opportunity to give snowshoes a try on the walk. We have a good supply of snowshoes for kids 90 lbs and under, but supplies for larger children and adults are limited. Registration is required. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 973-875-1471 or to register for this walk before 4 PM Friday, February 8th.

Winter can be a quiet time, but there’s still lots to explore. While on the trail we’ll look for tracks and signs of wintering wildlife, observe dormant trees, plants, insects, and much more! Whether we go by boot or by snowshoe will depend on the weather, but generally a minimum of 6″ of snow is needed to snowshoe. Adults/Children ages 7 and up. Registration is required. A limited number of snowshoes (child and adult sizes) are available for use during these walks, and must be reserved in advance. Please email email@example.com to register for these walks and to reserve your snowshoes by 4:00 PM the Friday before the walk or call 973-875-1471. Locations will vary.
