National Night Out in Egg Harbor Township 2021
August 3 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pmFree
As of May 10, 2021 Egg Harbor Township Police Department announced in this Facebook post, they will not be having a traditional National Night Out event for 2021.
Due to COVID Restrictions and circumstances beyond our control, EHT will be kicking it “Old School” for National Night Out (NNO) this year. Instead of one extremely large gathering, we are encouraging members of the community to set aside Tuesday, August 3, 2021 to gather with friends and neighbors in their community.
The event has been held annually since 1984, and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States. NNO began simply with neighbors turning on their porch lights and sitting in front of their homes. Since then, NNO has evolved and grown exponentially increasing awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts.
If you intend on hosting a gathering and would like for a member(s) of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department to make an appearance, please email Community Policing Officer Eddie Bertino at: Ebertino@ehtpd.com. The information needed in the email is: Point of contact name and telephone number, approximate number of children expected to be in attendance, and the address of the gathering.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department encourages everyone to abide by all local, state, & federal laws and COVID-19 executive orders.
