Thursday, January 14 – Get Twiggy With It
Learn how to identify trees in the winter gardens without leaves, and how to use a dichotomous key. This class will be held outside, so dress for the weather.
Tuesday, January 19 – Winter Chores
Fosterfields might close for the season, but our farm chores continue all winter long. Join us for this fun, hands-on program and learn how our farmers still maintain the farm during the colder months. Saw wood, sweep the barn, stack hay, and much more!
Tuesday, January 26 – Maple Sugaring
Head into the forest to learn how to identify and tap maple trees, collect sap, and make syrup over a wood-fired evaporator. Hear the legend of how maple sugaring started at the wigwam.
