From the New Jersey Museum website, “Due to the current public health emergency, the New Jersey State Museum will be closed to the public until further notice. All special events have been cancelled through April 30. If possible, they will be rescheduled for a later date.”

Meet the Makers! At 2 pm, experts Allen Linkchorst and Bill Ethington delve into the history and craft of carving wooden duck decoys, and how makers in New Jersey’s coastal and river towns shaped the artistry and style of these hunting tools.
Try the Tools! Projects for adults and children alike. Try out our Cricut cutter to create a swooping bird mobile sculpture, reimagine recycled materials or stitch a sweet trinket. We’ll have projects to suit everyone’s inner Maker!
Get Inspired! Join our guides for fascinating stories of New Jersey’s makers throughout the Museum. From a clock mechanism engineered by Peter Hill, the first African American clockmaker, to artist Wanda Gag’s languid kitten, you’ll find New Jersey makers making waves!
