- January 27 – Roar into the festivities as we unveil the majestic Year of the Dragon at American Dream. Immerse yourself in the captivating allure of Kunqu and Peking Opera, be swept away by traditional folk dances, and witness the elegance of a Chinese costume show. Experience the enchantment of diverse performing arts that celebrate the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.
- January 28 – Ushering in the year of the mythical Dragon, Beijing Association of New York, in association with many Asian American communities, is celebrating the Lunar New Year by putting on a show that shows off the best of Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Chinese traditions and customs. Among the rich cultural palette, there is award-winning circus artist gold medal champion Dina Liu, the legendary Mother-Daughter magician duo, Chuan-Opera changing faces, and award-winning youth choirs. There are many interactive activities not to be missed-including using bamboo to make musical instruments that you can learn how to play right away.
- February 3 – Impact Culture is returning to the catwalk at The Avenue! Following Fashion Week’s success, our kids are lighting up the catwalk again with their unique sense of style and personality as they showcase the season’s most luxurious looks. Preceding the Lunar New Year, this show will feature Eastern-influences and spotlight families that walk the runway together. Following successful events like Tiger Dreams of America and Rabbit! Rabbit!, anticipate the iconic Lion dance and the debut of two stunning 8-meter-long golden and red dragons in homage to the Year of the Dragon, featuring over 30 skilled dragon dancers.
