Lower Township July 4th Fireworks and Festival 2020 Are Back On

July 3 @ 8:45 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

June 18, 2020 Update from the Township of Lower Facebook page

As the Governor’s office allows for more restrictions to be lifted, Lower Township is also looking into the possibility of reinstating the July 3 fireworks display along the bay front in North Cape May.

From the Cape May Lewis Ferry as of June 29, 2020

While Lower Township recently announced that they will be hosting a fireworks display on July 3rd, which is exciting news, unfortunately the Ferry Terminal parking lots and grounds will not be available for viewing purposes during the display. The Fireworks are one of our favorite events and a yearly tradition on the Terminal green, however out of concern for everyone’s safety, we cannot accommodate such a large crowd while maintaining appropriate social distancing, nor do we have the ability to limit access to comply with the outdoor gathering rules that are currently in place in New Jersey. Thank you for understanding.

Lower Township’s annual Independence Day festival and fireworks display is Thursday July 3.

The event, held along the township’s bay front in North Cape May, is an evening full of live music, family entertainment, delicious food, free children’s amusement rides and one of the largest fireworks displays in the area.

The festival begins at 5:00 p.m. along the bay front in North Cape May between Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Avenue. Amusement rides are located on Washington Boulevard and Franklin Avenue.

Around 8:45 p.m., grab your beach blankets and chairs and head down to the bay to watch the fireworks illuminate the Delaware Bay. The fireworks will start shortly after 9:00 p.m.
