Ironbound Arts
Newark’s Ironbound District is one of the city’s most diverse communities, a home to many music and dance traditions. And the heart of the Ironbound is Ferry Street. So of COURSE any event celebrating the diversity and traditions of this community would take place there.
For this event, Ferry Street will become ‘pedestrian only,’ making space for plenty of street performances from musicians and dancers while still providing pedestrian access to the bars and restaurants lining the street.

- Janetza Miranda: known for her “velvety” yet powerful voice, Janetza’s influences range from salsa to R&B and soul music.
- Randy Haze: a seasoned guitarist, composer and touring artist with influences including blues, jazz, salsa and rock n roll, he’s also the master behind the Randy Haze Trio
- Marcelo Buby: a Brazilian transplant known for a unique sensibility in the world of electric guitar and rock n roll, he sprinkles in samba, axé and forró influences.
- Wyl White: a singer/songwriter and performance artist whose influences go from hip hop and soul to rock and metal, incorporating dreamy looped sequences on the acoustic guitar and beautiful live violin arrangements into his performances.
- Mike Santos: a composer and one-man band whose influences are pure “90’s revolution,” resulting in a modern era grunge.
