Collingswood July 4th Fireworks, Parade, and Celebration 2020 CANCELLED
July 4, 2019 @ 10:00 am - July 5, 2019 @ 10:00 pmFree
2020 Update from Collingswood through Facebook messenger.
Collingswood will not host their annual fireworks display and Independence Day events on July 4 due to capacity limitations and safety issues during the pandemic.
“It would be very difficult to accommodate crowds at the high school safely and with virtually all other displays in the region canceled we expect we will see even larger crowds than normal if we proceed. For safety reasons, it’s better to pause our 2020 celebration.”
The Borough is considering alternate dates in early autumn, possibly after the rescheduled 2020 May Fair event on September 26. Officials will make announcements confirming new dates on Collingswood.com.
All Collingswood July 4th Independence Day Celebration events take place on July 4.
Fireworks, festivities and TO THE MAX
TO THE MAX will take the stage as the Borough celebrates America’s independence. The eight-piece band, one of the liveliest in the Philadelphia region, will entertain the crowd with popular music and play patriotic tunes during the fireworks. Admission is free. Gates open at 6:30 pm; Show starts at 8 pm. Collingswood display is one of the best fireworks shows in the area – the works kick off at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the high school stadium (424 Collings Ave). Stadium seating will not be available so bring a blanket! In the event of rain, fireworks are postponed to July 5. A decision regarding postponement, if necessary, will be made the morning of July 4 and posted on Collingswood.com as well as Collingswood’s Facebook page here.
Fireworks are Proudly Sponsored by Parke Bank and the law offices of Brown & Connery, LLC.
