Anniversary Celebration in Browns Mills at Whitesbog Preservation Trust

40th Anniversary Celebration Day

40 Years! Whitesbog Preservation Trust, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1983 to restore and preserve Whitesbog Historic Farm Village and keep it from collapsing and being lost to time. Volunteers hosted fundraisers including concerts, festivals and runs, led tours, wrote grants, advocated for the Village and researched the history of the site, uncovering amazing stories about the birthplace of blueberry cultivation, inventions and engineering, stunning physical feats of building Bogs by hand, and a women entrepreneur who dedicated her life to blueberries and other native plants of the Pines, while supporting people of the Pines. Volunteers spent countless hours uncovering plants in Elizabeth’s Gardens at Suningive, blueberry bushes in the Triangle Field, and digging through boxes of documents, and pine cones!!!
