Happy Endings Do Come True!
I don’t know about you, but when it comes to Disney my child is obsessed! From storybooks, to television shows, to movies and soundtracks, all we do is eat, breathe and talk Disney! I could not think of a more perfect way to celebrate our love of all things Disney then to see Disney On Ice! I didn’t tell my daughter or her friend where we were going. Instead we jumped into the car, put on our princess gear and headed to the Prudential Center. The look on their eyes when we arrived was priceless and the smiles lasted the entire night!
What is Disney on Ice: Princesses and Heroes about?
Enter a world of wonder where heroes and hearts prevail. Join Ariel as she yearns to explore the world above the waves and Prince Eric as he breaks Ursula’s slithering spell to reclaim his one true love. See Prince Phillip, in a race against time to rescue Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora, defeat the evil Maleficent as she transforms herself into a fire-breathing dragon! Be there to discover a whole new world with Jasmine and Aladdin. Join Anna and Elsa and the hilarious snowman Olaf, from Disney’s blockbuster hit Frozen, and discover how an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart. And, watch in awe as the dreams of Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel and Tiana all come true. High-flying jumps, daring acrobatics, breathtaking skating and lovable Disney friends are just a wish away!
What Did We Love Most About Disney On Ice: Princesses and Heroes?
- The Costumes: From the amazing way the seven dwarfs each had an elaborate full head mask to identify their characteristics, to the fire breathing dragon that comes onto the stage during the story of Sleeping Beauty, to the delightful Lumiere the singing candle, each of the costumes was beyond realistic and made us feel like we were really part of a classic Disney romance.
- The Music: Each of the eight mini stories had a song to accompany it. We danced in our seats as we sang along to songs like “I See The Light” sung by Princess Aurora and “Part of Your World” sung by Ariel. An added bonus was when the Genie from Aladdin came out and sang a song as he lept across the ice!
- The Talent: All of the performers did an excellent job of portraying the prince or hero they were playing. Besides amazing ice skating, we were lucky enough to witness the pirates from The Little Mermaid do some amazing flying acrobatic stunts.
And So Much More To See!
Disney On Ice: Princesses and Heroes had more than eight stories of romance! The show began with Tinkerbell lighting up the stage and spreading her magic pixie dust around. Then our hostess and host, none other than Mickey and Minnie Mouse came out to introduce us to our first princess. Throughout the show Mickey and Minnie make appearances and during the story of Cinderella, Goofy even shows up! No Disney on Ice Show would be complete without the story of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. My daughter was most excited about the Frozen portion of the story-even Olaf makes an appearance!
Happy faces all around!
Both my daughter and her friend did not want to leave when the show was over. Disney on Ice: Princesses and Heroes was so full of spirit, fun and excitement. From row to row, as I looked around, all I saw was families singing, and smiling, and LOVING the show. It felt so nice to be part of the warm and fuzzy energy felt inside the arena. We will definitely be back to see more shows when they come around!
