Creamy Acres Wagon Ride to the Pumpkin Patch
For the past 4 years, my family, friends, and I have had the pleasure of visiting Creamy Acres, located in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. We have never been disappointed with our experience and plan to continue the tradition of going year after year, or at least until our kiddos are too old for the fun of hayrides and pumpkin picking.
Creamy Acres offers a 30 minute round-trip hayride around the farm with a stop at the pumpkin patch!
The cost for the wagon ride to the “individual” pumpkin patch is $3.00 per person. Pumpkins are purchased separately and weigh an average of 4 to 25 pounds. Each pumpkin is priced per pound. I have always thought that this was an excellent price compared to the other surrounding farms near us that offer the same type of experience.
Bring Your Camera
Depending on the crowds, you may have to wait a little while before getting on your wagon. But Creamy Acres offers a lot of photo opportunities! This is a great time to take advantage of the lag time and take some pictures around the farm. They have wooden cutouts that are the perfect size for my boys to be able to put their cute little faces into and smile. I’ve always been very happy with the shots that I been able to get in the previous years.
Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch
Once you get onto the wagon, you’re on your way to the Pumpkin Patch. The wagon ride is approximately 30 minutes round trip and offers a great opportunity to take a few pictures of your family enjoying the crisp fall air on their way to and from the pumpkin patch.
Once you reach the pumpkin patch you are dropped off and welcomed to stay as long as you would like. There are wagons that come and go every 30 minutes or so to pick you up to take you back to the country store, where you got on. At this area you are invited to pick your pumpkin and, if you choose to, participate in any of the additional activities that are offered. They have a small cow train for the kids, bounce houses, and a kiddie corn maze that you can purchase tickets for, but again, those are optional activities. A Creamy Acres coupon is available at their website.
Other activities offered at the Creamy Acres Farm.
Creamy Acres has a “petting zoo” that you can visit anytime before or after your hayride. They have chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, a donkey, and cows. You are able to pet the cows, but most of the time they don’t seem interested in having anyone touch them, which was always ok with me. Less hand washing!
There is also a Creamy Acres playground! It is a fenced-in playground with two wooden play sets with swings and slides and a huge wooden pirate ship. We love to visit the playground after being on the hayride because it gives my kids a chance to burn off some energy while I take a short break from all of the previous excitement.
Hungry? They have a great snack bar that is very inexpensive. You can purchase drinks, lunch items, and simple snacks such as a hot pretzel or a bag of chips.
