As the number of those vaccinated in New Jersey grows some businesses and government agencies are getting in on the action by offering freebies or vaccination perks for those who have had their first, second, or both doses of the vaccination. Since we know our readers love freebies and some of these vaccination perks give you FREE ways to have fun with your family in New Jersey, we knew we had to share them with you.

New Jersey State Park Pass

If you have followed Jersey Family Fun for any period of time you probably know how much we love the New Jersey State Parks. Normally priced at $50, the New Jersey State Park Pass has always been a great deal. With it you can get into any NJ State Park for free for a whole calendar year. Know what’s a better deal? Getting that NJ State Park pass for FREE.

With the Vax and Visit with the State Parks Vax Pass, beginning Thursday, May 27, 2021, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection will offer a free State Parks Vax Pass to all New Jersey residents who receive at least one dose of their COVID-19 vaccination by July 4, 2021.

The State Parks Vax Pass, which will be of the same value as the Annual State Parks Pass, will allow free access to all of New Jersey’s 51 State parks and forest facilities that charge daily walk-in or parking fees, from Thursday, May 27, 2021 through December 31, 2021. New Jersey residents who have received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will be able to request a State Parks Vax Pass upon entry at any one of the state’s 51 parks. You can also register online at nj.gov/vaxandvisit for a free pass. Passes will be emailed to those that register online.

Already have a NJ State Park Pass?

The Department of Environmental Protection will provide refunds to residents who already purchased Annual State Park Passes this year and have been fully vaccinated.

Free food is always a motivator. Across New Jersey these are some of the most popular vaccine perks.

Free doughnuts at Krispy Kremes in New Jersey

One of the first perks we heard about for those getting vaccinated in New Jersey, is the free donut offer from Krispy Kreme. To show their support for those who choose to get vaccinated, starting Monday, 3/22, anyone who shows their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card at a local Krispy Kreme will receive a free Original Glazed® doughnut. White Castle is giving away free cake-on-a-stick for those who have been vaccinated. Until May 31, 2021 show proof of your COVID-19 vaccination shot to get one of these delicious cake-on-a stick.

Moms need a night out? Dad looking for an excuse to share a beer with the guys? Need a date night away from the kids? If you’re vaccinated in New Jersey bring along your vaccination card and take advantage of these vaccine freebies. Just remember to drink responsibly and bring a mask as bars vary on their mask policy.

Shot and a Beer

Governor Murphy announced a “Shot and a Beer” program to encourage eligible New Jerseyans ages 21+ to get vaccinated. Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer.

Uncork the Vaccination

In partnership with the Garden State Wine Growers Association, New Jerseyans ages 21 and over who receive their first COVID-19 vaccination in the month of May can visit one of New Jersey’s participating wineries and receive a free glass of wine.

Freebies from your employer

Many employers across New Jersey are offering employees free money and time off if they get vaccinated. If you’re currently employed ask your employer about this. If you’re looking for a new job, apply with employers like Wawa that are offering hiring bonuses to new employees who have received the COVID vaccine.

Win a prize for being vaccinated in New Jersey

Win dinner with Governor Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy

Individuals age 18 or older who have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination in New Jersey since the roll-out of the state’s program in December, can enter to win dinner along with a guest with Governor Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy.

The winner will have the choice between dinner at Drumthwacket, the official Governor’s residence located in Princeton, or the Governor’s residence in Island Beach State Park. Entries must be submitted by May 31, 2021. To enter, visit covid19.nj.gov/forms/dinner.

Target spending money

Get a COVID-19 vaccine at a CVS inside a Target and walk out with a $5 Target coupon. There are more than 1,700 CVS pharmacies inside Targets nationwide. You can make your appointment on the CVS website.

Drop gives away cash rewards to shop online

Starting on April 2, 2021, Drop will give you up to $50 in cash rewards if you snap a selfie while getting vaccinated. Learn more at their website.

Free rides to get your COVID shot

If all these COVID vaccine freebies have you thinking maybe you should get the shot, but getting there is tricky, there is help. Thanks to a partnership with the federal government, both Uber and Lyft are offering free rides to vaccination clinics. Check their apps for more details.
