Our weekend in Peddler’s Village continues

Yesterday and today, we’ve been telling you about our latest Weekend in Pennsylvania and our overnight visit to the Golden Plough Inn. Well, after we checked out our room and some of the shops and before we could check out the summer movie on the lawn, we needed to eat dinner. One of the best parts about a vacation in Peddler’s Village is that everything is in one place. Restaurants, shoppes, a family attraction and the Golden Plough Inn are just steps from each other. On the night that we arrived, we chose the Cock ‘N Bull Restaurant for dinner.

What catches your attention first at the Cock ‘N Bull is the decor. Just look at our pictures. We would have taken more but we didn’t want to disturb other diners. At every turn there is another bit of decor giving the restaurant a bit of character. It all comes together without being overwhelming. We knew immediately it was going to be a comfortable place for a family to have a meal. In fact, around us were several other families doing the same.

We settled in with our menus and ordered a little appetizer of bruschetta and salads while we decided on our meals.

It was so appetizing I almost forgot to take a picture of the Cock ‘N Bull Bruschetta.

My boys looked over the Cock ‘N Bull Restaurant kid’s menu before taking time to color it in.

If you’ve read our past restaurant reviews, you know my boys love pasta. So it should come as no surprise that one of them ordered the Penne Pasta. The other two ventured out of their comfort zone. One had Macaroni and Cheese. The other had Chicken Crisps (like chicken nuggets). All were eaten up quickly. And I don’t think it was just because they wanted ice cream for dessert.  ;-)

My husband had the prime rib, which he raved about. I had the Lobster Ravioli. It was sooo good. If only I could make it at home. But then again, what’s that they say about it never being as good? Guess we’ll need to go back.

With our plates clean, which is easy to do when the food is good, we ordered dessert. Cock ‘N Bull has chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream for kids. Three different boys, each ordered a different flavor. I went with the mousse. Yeah, it’s as yummy as it is pretty.

The Cock ‘N Bull was a great option for our family’s dinner. The atmosphere was comfortable so the kids could be kids. The kid’s menu was created with them in mind; no empty plates for them. And with the great options for adults, my husband and I cleaned our plate as well.

Have you eaten at the Cock ‘N Bull?

In full disclosure, this is a sponsored post from Peddler’s Village. We were provided with a room , meals, and admission to Giggleberry Fair at no charge.  These things were arranged so that we could review Peddler’s Village as a family vacation destination.  However, our opinions are honest and based on our experiences in Peddler’s Village.
