  • Birding at the Plainsboro Preserve

    • Get outdoors this winter with your family and explore nature at the Plainsboro Preserve. With a full calendar of events, there are many opportunities throughout the season to investigate and learn more about birds in their natural habitat. The Plainsboro Preserve is located at 80 Scotts Corner Rd, Cranbury, NJ 08512.
    • The Great Backyard Bird Count will take place on Saturday, February 13th, and is one of the most popular annual events among bird watchers. Count birds at the feeding station, build nesting boxes for spring, explore your artistic side, and learn cool facts about birds you may not have known before.     Ice Skating at Roosevelt Park

    • The outdoor family skating rink is located in Roosevelt Park next to the lake. It is a very popular winter location in the county for a fun day of ice skating with family or friends. The Roosevelt Park Family Ice Skating Rink is open from November through April.
    • The facility has a lot to offer year round, including open skating, birthday parties, rink rentals and skating lessons.     Indoor Play at Kidz Village in Woodbridge

    • If indoor play is more your speed when the weather is cold, bring your children for a visit to Kidz Village in Woodbridge. Kidz Village is an indoor playground and kids’ fun center where kids ages 10 and under can explore, play, climb, and burn off their energy in a safe & clean environment. The facility contains several themed play rooms such as a beauty salon, tool shop, movie theater, and 50’s style diner. There is free wi-fi for parents and there is also an on site restaurant.
