Each week select Barnes and Noble locations host special events and story times
One of our favorite things to do each month is to check out what is going on at our local Barnes & Noble. There is always a special event or story time for everyone in the family. Moms and Dads can meet an author or join a book club while kids can come out and hear a new story, make a new craft and even see live performances. With so many great activities Barnes & Noble is a great place to beat the heat during the summer months or come in from the cold on a wintery day while still keeping the kids entertained.
About Barnes & Noble’s Upcoming Events for Kids
- An associate normally reads about two books to the children
- There is normally a theme to the books that are read
- After story time the person gives out papers to color on
- Sometimes there may even be stickers
- On special days there Character Appearances!
Reading to your child is very important! During the ages of 2-5 is the most crucial time period for learning, it’s great to develop an early love of reading!
After the Barnes & Noble Story Time children can enjoy a great option of children’s books. Barnes & Noble also has a rewards program called Kid’s Club. It includes 30% off of the list price of a children’s book when you enroll (some exclusions apply), $5 for every $100 you spend on kids stuff online or in store, and a free cupcake at the cafe on your child’s birthday.
