Are you looking for a restaurant with a fun atmosphere AND healthy food choices?
If your answer is YES, then Applebee’s is the place for you!
I have always been a big fan of Applebee’s for their inviting atmosphere and amazing food, but as a parent, I have recently found even more reasons to love this franchise. Applebee’s offers a wonderful kids’ menu full of healthy food choices for growing children. This past December, Applebee’s introduced their new and improved kids menu full of exciting and healthy options that will please any child (and parent)! Now kids can choose from meals like grilled chicken, salad, and pizza along with tasty sides.
How Hungry Are You?
On the new kids’ menu at Applebee’s kids can choose from the Really Hungry ($4.99) or the Really Really Hungry ($5.99) menu options. Each meal comes with an entree, side and drink, and they are available for children ages 12 and under. The portion sizes are perfect for little and big tummies!
Here is what you can find on the Applebee’s Kids’ Really Hungry Menu:
- Chicken Tenders
- NEW Chicken Grillers
- KRAFT Macaroni and Cheese
- NEW Cheese Quesadilla
- Mini Cheeseburger or Hamburger
- NEW Cheesy Bread Pizza (1/2 portion)
- Hot Dog
- Grille Cheese Sandwich
Here is what you can find on the Applebee’s Kids’ Really Really Hungry Menu:
- NEW Cheesy Grilled Chicken
- NEW Chicken Mac ‘n Cheese
- NEW Chicken Quesadilla
- 2 Mini Cheeseburgers or Hamburgers
- NEW Cheesy Bread Pizza (Full)
- Fried Shrimp
- 4 oz. Sirloin (add $1)
Great options right? Well, it doesn’t stop there. Each meal above also comes with one amazing, healthy side! Applebee’s has done a wonderful job adding great side options that are kid and parent approved. As stated on the menu, some items are “part of the Kids LiveWell program and have been verified by the National Restaurant Association and Healthy Dining to meet specific nutritional criteria established by leading health organizations’ scientific guidelines.”
Here are your Applebee’s Kids’ menu side options:
- NEW Mozzarella Sticks
- NEW GoGo squeeZ Applesauce
- NEW Apple Dippers with Yogurt
- NEW Vanilla Yogurt with Strawberries
- NEW House or Caesar Salad
- NEW Baby Carrots with Ranch
- NEW White Rice
- Steamed Broccoli
- NEW Garlic Mashed Potatoes
- Fries
Once your child has chosen their meal and side, they can choose from a variety of drinks:
- Fountain Soft Drink
- Milk or Chocolate Milk
- Lemonade (additional $1.49)
- Apple Juice (additional $1.49)
- Bottle Root Beer (additional $2.69)
Looking to make your meal well-rounded? I suggest ordering a glass of nice cold milk to go with your kids meal. Allergic to milk like my son? Then try the apple juice. My kids (and I) have tried many of the items on this amazing menu. My kids’ favorites include the Chicken Grillers, Cheese Quesadilla, Cheesy Bread Pizza and Chicken Mac ‘n Cheese. As for sides, our family LOVES the GoGo squeeZ Applesauce, Vanilla Yogurt with Strawberries and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. No matter what your preference, there is an option for everyone!
Still have room for more? Applebee’s offers 2 amazing dessert options for the little ones: an Oreo Cookie Shake ($2.89) and Oreo Cookie Sundae ($2.49). Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla milkshakes are also available as well as chocolate and strawberry sundae.
Are you hungry yet? Then turn off your computer, round up the family and head on out to your local Applebee’s. I recommend the Applebee’s in Rockaway but they are all amazing with delicious food, friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere!
