Allaire Community Farm in Wall Township

It may be close to the shore, but Wall Township has more farmland than you’d expect. On a ride through town on your way to the beach, you may see cows, horses, alpacas and more.  No New Jersey farm is quite like this farm in Wall though! Set on a sprawling 22 acres, the Allaire Community Farm is a nonprofit animal rescue with a true focus on community. Their motto is “Nurture with Nature,” and their animals help humans, and vice versa.

How the Allaire Community Farm helps New Jersey communities

  • The farm horses participate in therapeutic horsemanship for children and adults with varied emotional and physical issues.
  • Their organic gardens provide food to local food banks and families dealing with Cancer.
  • The farm even hosts a pre-employment program that trains special needs and at-risk populations for work with animals and farms/gardening trades.

The Allaire Community Farm is open for the general population too, with Allaire petting zoo hours daily. We visited recently and spent about an hour walking the property petting, feeding, and brushing the animals. Two baby goats had just arrived, Reeses and Peanut Butter, and we just couldn’t get enough of them!

  • Lilly the pig
  • Roosters, ducks, chickens, and rabbits!
