Adventurer Oceanfront Inn, a home away from home for families staying in Wildwood
We arrived at the Adventurer Oceanfront Inn in Wildwood Crest on a Friday afternoon and almost immediately felt right at home. The staff was so pleasant and checking in was a breeze. I had no idea how much fun and yet still how relaxing a Wildwood family vacation could be, but as I learned and experienced it, this was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of each day AND in between for some breaks from the fun.
When we headed up to our suite, called a C Suite with 2 double beds and a sofa bed on their website, we could not have asked for a better room for our family. It was spacious enough to give our family the room that we needed and came equipped with everything a traveling family would need. Bonus, the view was amazing! I am pretty sure I spent every night, staying up way too late, sitting on the balcony enjoying the view of the beach at night.

Have a large family? Looking to do a family reunion? We love that the hotel can handle that. They have suites with 4 rooms that can sleep up to eight down to traditional rooms that sleep four.
The location is perfect as well. The Adventurer Oceanfront Inn sits right off the beach where Wildwood ends and Wildwood Crest begins. It’s close enough to all the Wildwood activities without feeling so close that is crowded or overly busy.
Complimentary self-parking is available at the Adventurer Oceanfront Inn. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel and a lot that wraps around the building. Hotel guests are given a tag to hang on their car that allows them to park at the hotel for free. To save on parking in Wildwood, we left our car there and walked or took the tram car to most destinations.
What makes the Adventurer Oceanfront Inn one of the great places to stay in Wildwood with kids?
I mentioned that I love the spaciousness of the suite, but what’s also helpful to families are the inroom amenities. We had a kitchenette with a full size fridge. Having that meant we could decide either to cook in our room or dine out around Wildwood. On this trip, since we were reviewing many Wildwood restaurants we did do a lot of dining out, but the fridge was great for saving all those doggy bags we brought back to the room.
The dining room table had a fifth seat off to the side, in case we needed it. That’s not something I’ve seen with most hotels, but it’s definitely needed.
Even with 2 beds, a sofa sleeper, kitchenette, and dining room table, there would have been enough room for a pack and play if we needed it. A dividing, accordion-type wall lets parents close off the two beds from the main area when it’s time to put the kids to bed. It’s as if the Adventurer Oceanfront Inn took the time to think about what does a family truly need while vacationing and then they built that into their hotel rooms.

As we mentioned our C Suite had 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper. Our room could sleep up to 6. Larger and smaller rooms are available with poolside, boardwalk, or oceanfront views. Some rooms also include a kitchenette with fridge.

- The balcony provided a great space for us to enjoy the views of the boardwalk and beach or step away from the kids for a few minutes.

- The outdoor pool was open till 10 pm nightly. The pool depth ranged from 1.5 feet deep to 10 feet deep.
