Woodloch Pines at Woodloch Resort

When my husband and I entered our Woodloch Pines Edgewater suite in the Springbrook building we breathed a sigh of relief. Yes! The Woodloch Pines would be spacious enough for a family of five to stretch out during downtime. It offered some of the comforts of home, plenty of storage, and amazing views. And come bedtime, we could put the younger boys to bed while we stayed up with our teen to watch some tv or just talk because a door separated the bedroom from the suite space. This was a relaxing way to have a home away from home.

For families like us with 3 or more children, one of them being a tall teenager, we appreciated that the living room couch is a queen-size sofa sleeper. At night, we converted the couch for additional sleeping. We still had plenty of room to move about the suite if we needed to. During the daytime, my kids had space on the couch to sit and relax, after we took advantage of the Woodloch Resort’s family activities of course. The end tables and a small table behind the couch provided the space we needed for the boys to complete school assignments for the days they were missing school.

My boys took turns completing homework at this table.

As I mentioned at bedtime, we were able to stay up later than the kids because the bedroom is separated from the main living space with not just some distance, but also a door that closes. I always love it, when we are in a hotel room that provides a way to separate the kids from the grown ups when it’s time for the kids to rest. That’s a bonus for the parents.

The bonus for my kids… was the ping pong room across the hall. They played game after game there. Lucky for us I brought our new walkie-talkies. The boys took them across the hall and I was able to use them to check in with them periodically. It gave my husband and I a few quiet moments without kids.

Having a ping pong room across the hall was a great way for my boys to avoid getting bored as we transitioned between activities.
