The Office.. usually a place where you do the 9 to 5 and can’t wait to clock out.

The Office Tavern & Grill is anything but.

The Office Tavern & Grill

Located at 3 South Street in Morristown, The Office Tavern & Grill offers a great atmosphere after a hard day at the ‘office’ or a rough work day at home with the kids. Between the atmosphere, the great variety of drinks and foods on the menu and how delicious they taste when they get to you, there’s so many reasons to clock into The Office.

Looking around The Office Tavern & Grill reminds me of days gone by but with a modern feel. There are murals of typewriters, stampers, and other office equipment. The menu reminds me of a desk drawer with pencils, pens, and more. I was there to enjoy a meal with my fellow Wyndham Weekend bloggers and enjoy ourselves we did. I can just imagine how fun it would have been to tell my kids about the artwork and things they don’t typically see today, but that will have to wait till next time. They weren’t with me for this visit.

The Office Tavern & Grill atmosphere was fun…the selection of food diverse.

Just take a look at the menu. For the beer drinks there were Jersey-inspired drinks, perfect for the Jersey girls and guys in our group. The kids menu was impressive. I am always pleased when there are options beyond burgers, fries, hot dogs, and pasta for the kids. The Office Tavern & Grill kid’s menu offers chicken and waffles, steak, fish, and ribs. Bonus, there are drink options besides chocolate milk and soda. Kids will love that root beer is on tap. I know my oldest always feels like a big kid when he can have root beer. (Soda and similar drinks are saved for special occasions in my home.)

I did not see a gluten-free menu option and I didn’t ask. I went with one of my safe bets chicken. I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken Breast with red grape, golden raisin, and roasted vegetable quinoa. I took a risk trying out new flavor combinations and it was worth it. The meal was delicious.

My friend, Linda from Giggle Gobble and Gulps, enjoyed a meal with her family. One of her sons was gracious enough to let me take a picture of his meal. Linda says his Grilled Salmon was great. It was comparable to an adult meal but slimmed down to a kid’s meal size.

Between this delicious meal and the earlier Wyndham Weekends happy hour all of us were too stuffed for dessert. Thank you Office Tavern & Grill it was a great meal and a fabulous way to wrap up our Wyndham Weekend.
