“Unless you care about something a lot, nothing is going to change, it’s not.” – Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax

When I saw the trailer for Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax a few weeks ago, I thought how cool. What a neat way to teach kids about taking care of our environment and what mother nature gave us. What this movie does differently is it teaches our kids these lessons in a fun upbeat way. Kids can appreciate the message without realizing they are learning. We have this boy who does not set out to change his world initially, it’s only when a young boy wants to impress a girl that he realizes he has been missing out on something by living in a plastic world.
Take a look at the trailer below and I think you will fall in love with Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax as much as I have.

“Hop on Pop” is my favorite, because when I read it to my daughter, she tries to act it out.
We like that one too. Good luck. – Jenn
My favorite is Green Eggs and Ham
We’ve always enjoyed that. We get quite animated when we read it. Good luck. – Jenn

I do not like Green Eggs and Ham…oh wait, I do.
Funny how that parallels my five year old’s choices. He would not, could not…oh wait, he would.
LOL. Good Luck Marc. – Jenn
Horton I love elephants
Elephants do have a special charm. Good luck – Randi.
My new favorite is Oh the Places You’ll Go, after hearing an idea of having your child’s teacher sign a copy of the book each year and giving it to them when they graduate. I have gotten a copy for my son and daughter to start this
Can’t wait to see the movie, looks so cute!
I saw that idea too. So cute. Good luck. – Jenn
We love Dr. Seuss! Our favorite would have to be And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street! I grew up in Dr. Seuss’ hometown of Springfield, MA, so it is special for us to have such a great children’s book based on a street there! If you get a chance to visit – there are a bunch of wonderful statues based on his characters in the Downtown Quadrangle!
I haven’t heard of that one Maura. I’ll have to go check it out. Good luck. – Jenn
I love so many, Put me in the Zoo always was a favorite!! Can’t wait to see The Lorax!
That is a great one, Cherie. Good luck. – Jenn
Probably The Sleep Book- love the ending.
I haven’t heard of this one either. Another one, we’ll have to look up next time we are in the library. Thanks Amy. Good luck. – Jenn
My kids love all of the Dr.Seuss! I took them a little bit to get into them, but now that is what they want to read all the time! Fox in Socks is definitely one that is high on the list at the moment!
We like that one too, Alice. Good luck. – Jenn
Fox in Socks because my daughterJulianna would read to me and her dad every night.
That sounds so cute, Jane. Good luck. – Jenn
My favorite Dr. Seuss story is there is a wocket in my pocket because it is a silly book and it was my daughters favorite book ever. She even had it memorized and read it to her sister at 2 years old.
Wow, Melissa. That is great. Good luck. – Jenn
I won! Thank you so much! We are huge Dr. Seuss fans in this house. We have been to Seuss Landing in Universal Studios Florida twice and we drove from NJ to Springfield Mass for Dr. Seuss’ hometown. We have over 30 Dr. Seuss books. We can’t thank you enough!
You are welcome. – Jenn
We were there 45 minutes early waited in line and didn’t get in not at all mad at you they completely over booked it so they just lost out on my ticket because I will not be paying to see it EVER. I’ll rent it from the library when it comes to dvd. So mad right now. Really smart thing to overbook a kids movie and have dozens of disappointed children. Will not ever be going to Loews theater either. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
I am so sorry Melissa. I will try and see what I can do to make it up to you. – Jenn
I love all Dr. Seuss stories, but my favorite one is Green Eggs and Ham and thats probably because one of the character’s names is Sam, and I have a nephew named Sam and it was one of his favorite stories too! I love how all of his books rhyme and my son is just learning rhyming words and things in school and is also in love with Dr. Seuss! This movie looks GREAT!
Thanks for entering. We love Green Eggs and Ham too. It’s fun to read it and add emphasis as the two characters continue to argue. Good luck. – Jenn
My favorite Dr. Seuss story is How the Grinch Stole Christmas because it teaches my kids the importance of the company you keep and not the presents you get on Christmas.
Good point, Erin. We love this story too. Good luck. – Jenn
